4. it's just frustrating right now

i'm trying to plan my meeting with elrond hubbard later this summer and my father is pushing for more details than i'm comfortable planning for...there is so much that can happen that i can't plan for

i am daddy's girl, but i just want him to trust that i've thought through every possible outcome (which i have, in great lenghth) and be happy for me

when my daughter and i fly back home for a visit my Dad listens to some weather channel on the radio, he's a pilot so he always has that weather station on and the minute our plane land he calls me and tell me what the wind sheer was and how the traffic is on rt. 93 and oh did i remember to shut the water off for my washing machine and ice maker, did you unplug the appliances and leave an emergency number? yeah Dad i'll be 40 next month, i got it covered. "Well you can never be to careful".

9. glad my dad doesn't do that

because my typical 'planning' is to grab my over-night bag and a couple changes of clothes and some snacks. Then, get in the car and drive. I have a general idea of people and places I wanna see, but nothing written down or planned out in great detail.

i'm so excited, and so happy, and i'm so looking forward to it that i wish it were tomorrow! but i am also very shy and nervous. you see, i love sara very much. more so than i have any other. yet, i want to do my best not to pressure myself or sara too much about this get-together...because if we go in it too nervous and too afraid of each other and ourselves, it will be more painful than it needs to be.
it's not easy. it's a process. it's something that will come, bit by bit, as the day grows closer, and our longing to see one another overcomes our shyness and our fear that we'll not be liked by the other.
cause that's the biggest, strongest emotion at the core of all of this. love.
i will try to borrow mom's digital camera for the trip, and try to take a lot of pictures :)
