1. I generally like Phil Collins (not all of his stuff,) and Genesis..
of any era.

2. I'm the same way. Phil Collins hit the suck button after "In the Air Tonight"
and that "Invisible Touch" album for Genesis was ass. But earlier stuff was great.

3. Eh, I think Phil continued some solid ballads after that
I don't see a difference. But to each their own. :-)

4. I think they hit their peak at "Selling England by the Pound," which,

to me is a classic. Lamb Lies Down was a good album also. After those...

5. A later day Genesis album I like is We Can't Dance
I think it's great, in fact.. ballads like "Hold On My Heart" and "Never A Time" mixed with quirky songs like "I Can't Dance" and rockers like "Jesus He Knows Me."

6. Those are my favorite Genesis albums too. Though I must admit I do like "Seconds Out"
the live album released right after "Lamb Lies Down" when Phil Collins took over on vocals. Wind and Wuthering wasn't bad but they went downhill from there, IMO. As a long tme Genesis fan, I can always tell the difference between Phil Collins solo work and later Genesis stuff. His solo stuff sounded much more "Top 40" to me.

7. Here's a link to an hour-long "Gabriel-Era" Genesis video. Enjoy!
