HELP!

Ok. I have NEVER been able to get PIP to work. The TV is PIP ready, we have digital cable (box is SUPPOSED to have 2 signals) and it is DRIVING ME CRAZY!

Here is our setup:

Digital Cable Box...
- signal in from cable
- signal out to TV

DVD Player...
-S Cable out to TV
-L and R audio out to stereo receiver

TV...
- 2 video/audio sets of jacks (Yellow, Red, White) Labled Input 1 & Input 3

XBox...
- video and audio currently plugged into input 3 on back of TV

Turn PIP on TV on. Picture is same as 'main' picture.

Select Input 1 = DVD picture (can't figure this one out but assume that even though there isn't anything in the Input 1 jacks, the S Cable is overriding them coming in from the DVD player.
Select input 2 (audio/video jacks in front of TV) = nothing, front jacks aren't being used.
Select Input 3 = XBox game from Input 3.

Have tried everything. The TV manual says the PIP works off of the video input jacks in back. Makes sense as the XBox (Input 3) comes up in PIP. Tried using audio/video jacks in back of Cable Box directly into both Input 1 & 3 in back of TV. Same result except since the XBox wasn't connected, no XBox. Tried running S Cable direct from Cable Box to TV instead of from DVD Player. Nothing.

NOTHING!

any ideas? my FRIGGEN Brother In Law did something to HIS system and HE has FOUR!! FOUR PIP's! :grr:

I still have an old analogue CRT, not ready to spend $600+meaningless extended warranty on a LCD set whose lifespan won't pass 5 years anyway... (the lifespan of the average cold cathode backlight tube is roughly 5 years...)

Well, I'm glad you can live without a TV. I grew up with certain shows because people seemed alien and cruel toward me. I'm going to stick with TV... unless you can find somebody to teach an almsot middle-aged Toad new tricks...

9. dude, did you try changing the channel with the PiP up?

that's all we do, pull up the PiP, change channel and voila! there she is....
