And The #1 Reason You Missed The Job Interview With The Police Dept: "I Was In Jail"
Police Officer Applicant Jailed Before Interview

UPDATED: 11:39 am EDT June 8, 2007

CLEVELAND -- A Cleveland police applicant got a firsthand look at the criminal justice system.

It turns out that 25-year-old Loleta Russell was locked up in the city jail Sunday on a theft charge and missed her interview for a police job.

If convicted of felony theft, she cannot become a police officer.

A relative said the theft charge was a family spat over a car rental by a cousin on behalf of Russell. When the two argued, Russell allegedly threatened to keep the rental until it was beat up.
