Instead of adding text, I used local signs where possible. Watch again and you'll see Pompei (The McDonald's sign), Napoli (The life saver), Capri (in ceramic tile), and Bologna (Bus station sign). Some places, like Venice and the Vatican, needed no introduction.
There were no signs handy in Tuscany.

BTW: I'm from Louisiana, and the Louis Prima connection was inescapable. I only recently learned that he too is from Louisiana.

Was this a tour? If so, what company? Zoiguy and i are planning a trip to Italy soon. Have any suggestions? Tour or solo? Thanks.

We were with a tour, and they kept us moving non-stop. If you go solo you'll need to do your homework and know where you want to go. Withe the tour, we didn't have to even make hotel reservations.
But if you go solo you can go at your own pace and see what you want to see. You'll also find better food.
We went with HCA tours. They specialize in educational tours. My wife works in the school system.
