Fannie, the black cat, has nice new red nails. Haskell, the orange and white boy, has orange to match, while Jen, my tabby, has pink. They're so cute! :bounce:

1. What are Soft Paws?
Is it an alternative to declawing a destructive kitty?

2. Yes, they're like kitty nail covers.
Something akin to having fake nails on people, but for cats. I do keep my cats' nails trimmed, but that only lasts about a week. These should last about 6-8 weeks. Since I just got a nice new suede recliner which the kitties were eyeing hungrily, I figured it was time to cowboy up and get the Soft Paws. They were really not too hard to put on! :bounce:

7. That is a great concept.
I am buying new furniture soon and if that cat decides to scratch - I will hit him up with these too.

Thanks!:hi:

9. Good luck!
I'd start clipping his nails now, if you don't already, to get him used to your handling his paws. Mine don't like it but since they get clipped every week they know it's coming and they know it doesn't hurt. :hi:

11. I have never clipped his nails, but he lets us do anything to
him. He allows little MB to dress him in doll clothes, she throws him over her shoulder and into a stroller just like a baby and he tolerates it without a single complaint.

What an odd cat...

12. Haha! that's one tolerant cat.
There would be blood involved if I were to trot out the doll clothing. :P

15. Aw! Both of them are so cute!
Isn't it funny how they really do develop their preferences? My parents had a Russian Blue that would tear anyone up except me when we clipped his claws. :D

3. My brother tried that with his cats at first.
The rubber tips didn't seem to stay on very long, and the battle to get them on in the first place, turned out to be more trouble than it was worth. Hope yours are more accomodating! :)

5. We will find out.
It wasn't much above and beyond their regular nail clippings. I guess since they're used to me handling their paws, they didn't mind. No blood was drawn and I only glued my fingers together twice! :D Now we'll see how long they last. :P

4. I need to replace a few on my little monster
I got the clear ones at the pet store. They didn't have any colored ones.

I'll catch her while she's sleepy and groggy this afternoon...here, kitty kitty.....

6. Ha, they didn't have clear where I got mine.
I just ordered them online -- googled "Soft Paws" and bought them at the first place they came up. It is funny, I enjoyed "accessorizing" the cats.

8. I almost bought them online but
I didn't want to wait. I might go ahead and order some now that I know how to apply them. My little monkeymonsterkitty would look stunning in orange..
