2. anytime anything is hyped up like Seinfeld was, it's doomed to suck no matter
how good or bad it is.

5. If there was ever a show that should have gone unsentimental on the finale (like Sopranos did)
it was Seinfeld.

Instead they really blew it, but I think that had more to do with NBC wanting something garishly huge.

That finale looked like it had massive TV executive manhandling. They should have just left it purely in the hands of LD.

11. First Mistake Was Bringing Back Diane
They did the whole 3 Finale episodes with her, and they should have let her just be.

Other than her presence, the final episode was not bad, and had a few good punchlines. The scene with all the regulars at the bar was nicely done.

7. I'm a huge Seinfeld fan
and I HATED it the first time I saw it.
Now I love it. It was exactly perfect for their character... or lack thereof.

10. Everybody Loves Raymond really sucked!
But they had already hung around too long so it was bound to be lousy.

Both finales were very bad compared to the series.

15. I thought the ending of "St. Elsewhere" was pretty stupid.
I think I might have been the only one who thought that way.

16. When I was younger, I was very disappointed in..
the ALF series finale. We rooted for ALF all that time, and then he could be either captured OR saved? The Sopranos was more complex and without such characters to root for, so their open ending was probably at least better than ALF's.

17. "Seinfeld" went into a steep nosedive in its last 2 seasons and the finale was the crash impact.
They really ruined "Seinfeld" by keeping on 2 years longer than it should have been - it was not funny for 2 whole years, and the finale was like a horrible auto accident. It was so bad that Frank Sinatra keeled over that very night.
