Yes, we went yesterday. Yes, we dressed up! So here are pics of our white and geeky selves. Behold the pasty skin and mediated attempt to recreate the Renaissance. Sad - sad, I say!

And oh my god, I don't photograph well in natural light! All puffy I am, as my chest fights for release from my corset. Also, note the amazing gas-powered carts behind Mr. Writer. They were wonders to behold. :P

There was a Ren. Fair near where I grew up that I went to every year. It was actually more of a "hippie fest", though. But it was fun to go to. See how many people went around nude and stuff like that. :evilgrin:

Every year I threaten to dress...never have, though. I spent some time looking at the clothes last weekend though, and now I'm thinking about making something for next year. I taught one of my kids to sew last week and he did, so I really don't have an excuse. This is what he came up with:
