2. One of my faves
I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that.

Back in college we were supposed to party with him one weekend but he got stuck in traffice leaving Chicago and couldn't make it. Bummer man!

My best friend in highschool went to Carleton college and his roomate there was a good friend of Lloyds. They went to school together K-12 in Chicago and he was going to come up but couldn't at the last minute because of the famous Chicago traffic jams.

6. There are many Lloyd's out there ...
Guys like Lloyd ...

They are not part of one group, they are part of many groups.

They are friends with almost everybody.

They are not insecure, but they they know that there is much they don't know.

When they date a girl, they focus. They listen. They remember.

Unfortunately, they also usually get dumped for no real reason.

The girl is confused about what she wants.

Lloyd is dependable. Very Dependable. But the girl doesn't see it.

And so Lloyd is ultimately expendable.

In the movie, Diane Court depends on her father and that loss causes her to see Lloyd differently.

She goes back to him. And the movie has the happy ending ... he's still there.

In many relationships, this last part just doesn't happen.

The confused girl remains confused, unable to step back and see Lloyd for what he really is.

A great guy.

Lloyd's a realist. He'll stand in your driveway playing your favorite song. He'll leave you notes. He'll try to get you to see what can;t see. But for only so long. Lloyd will move on.

So if you are looking for Lloyd, you might want to start by reviewing your discards. Make sure there wasn't a Lloyd in there. If there wasn't, look for the guys that aren't part of a narrow group, a guy with a wide set of friends, a guy that doesn't have all the answers, but who's looking for them.

You might find your Lloyd. Good luck.

11. Ok ....then some more Lloyd traits to help in your search :-)
(before I start, your "I have not met Lloyd" was awful fast, I'm not saying you missed him, but its not only him, its the situation too).

But assuming you haven't meet one ...

Lloyd is not achievement oriented, but he is successful. He just succeeds.

He's not trying to become anything. He just is.

Lloyd is optimistic. Lloyd is also flexible.

He'll put your needs ahead of his. He'll even undertake major life changes.

I bet by now you may be tired of my Lloyd list ... if so, good ... if you are really looking for your Lloyd, you need your own list :-)

How do you find Lloyd? And I'm being totally serious ... Why Lloyd? Write it down. Make the list.

What does your Lloyd look like? What is he like? To the extent you can define it, do so.

The better you know what Lloyd is like, the more likely you'll be able to recognize him when you meet him.
