Poll question: Greatest Doors Album
I will say flat out, that Soft Parade is my favorite. I don't give a shit that it was overproduced - that was the point - ubermensch and all.

1. No American Prayer?
Actually I don't listen to them too much these days. I liked a lot of their music at one time.

4. I saw Robbie Krieger perform for free about 10 years ago, and
it turned out to be fantastic. It was at the Adams Avenue Street Fair, a free event that is held every September in San Diego. It has gotten to be a very popular event and they manage to get a few well-known names each year (i.e., Mick Taylor formerly of the Stones, etc.). One year they had Robbie Krieger, and I went to it out of curiosity, since it was one of the Doors in person and it was free. It was him and about 4 other musicians (but not John Densmore or Ray Manzarek). To my surprise they did about 8 or 9 Doors songs - the ones that Robbie Krieger wrote. They sounded just like the Doors, and it was almost like being at a Doors concert, outdoors on a perfect late summer evening. There were hundreds of people, many wearing Doors shirts. It was awesome.

6. L.A. Woman
Followed closely by the self-titled debut and 'Morrison Hotel'.

'Waiting For The Sun' is their most underrated.

I do like 'Soft Parade'. My best friend is hardcore about the Doors and that is his favorite.
