Anybody else have an ear-sucking cat?
I thought he'd out-grow it, but he's 5 now, and still insists on spending time each day slobbering up my earlobe.

1. No, but I have 2 ear-sucking dogs.
However, they only do it it each other, which is good. It's their security blanket.

3. No, But I Have a Nearly-Naked Cat
Alice was so matted that shaving her was the easiest way to deal with it and make her comfortable. After a few days of hating me, she's decided she likes having just a fluffy tail and ultra-mega-short everything else. I'd post pix, but I'm on dial-up tonight.

4. LOL
I'd love to see pics!

My neighbors have a cat like that - he's got very long hair, and he HATES being brushed and usually disappears for days at a time, so when he gets matted, they just hold him down and shave him. He looks soo cute when they do that, and he doesn't seem to be embarrassed by it.

22. My dog got a crew-cut today
She's some sort of ultra long-haired mutt - looks like she might be mostly bouvier or Tibetan terrier. She's got a skin allergy that makes her scratch and bite her rear end, so I had her groomed practically down to her skin, so I could apply some soothing creams. Boy, is she ever a funny looking critter now! But she does seem a lot more comfortable (particularly in the Florida heat) and I'll be grateful not to have to sweep up mounds of dog hair.

9. no, but I have a hair sucking cat
ever since he was a kitten, he would climb onto my neck and start sucking on my hair. If I'm in bed, he climbs on the pillow and wraps his body onto my head, and sucks on my hair...and he purrs and purrs and purrs, while sucking and drooling. He's 15 years old and hasn't outgrown it yet. :hi:

10. No but my cat drools when he purrs
It's like I need to put protection on before I can snuggle with my damn cat. Worse thing is the damn drool is giving him cat acne

13. I used to have a pair of Siamese brother cats who both did it. One would latch to each ear.
It was hilarious.
I miss those cats (Marco & Polo).

14. We had one years ago who did it all the time
It was really weird to wake up in the morning to the sensation of a cat sucking on my earlobe and simultaneously kneading my neck. She also used to suckle on her own hind legs, too--she'd curl up kind of like the cat below but she'd "nurse" right above her toes. I think she may have been weaned too early or something.

17. I've had a toe-sucking cat and a....nursing cat.
Darned thing was removed from its mother too soon. I woke up once in the middle of the night--quite startled. By instinct I brushed it off my chest and the poor kittie bounced off the bookcase and onto the floor. At least I know why it hated me when it was older.
