Are you a laptop or desktop type of person?

Portability is excellent, because I can sit down and write anywhere.

I've almost never needed the portability of a laptop. And I love my big-ass monitor.

3. I like them both-- I use my desktop computers more often... |
|
...but when you need to meet with someone elsewhere, or want to work on lecture notes while sitting at the beach, laptops are the bomb.

however my next machine will be a Macbook Pro as an addition to my existing setup, not as a replacement.

I will never have a hugh box and monitor cluttering up my office ever again. Laptop and docking station w/ extra monitor is the way to go.

I've really grown to dislike using a mouse since I got my laptop. She sits on a desk most of the time, but I much prefer the feel and the smaller size - plus the ability to move the cursor with my thumb almost at the same time as typing.
