Another NASCAR question: How does everyone keep from losing their hearing at a race? |
|
Not to copycat Taverner but it's something I've always wondered about. Whenever I've gone to dirt tracks I've worn decent ear plugs to help at least a little. Is there any consideration towards this? I've gotten odd looks whenever I've put them in but hey nuts to them. If there isn't ear protection that's commonly used by fans I suppose I just gave a marketer a million dollar idea.

1. Earplugs and noise-reducing headphones are in great abundance at the tracks. |
|
I'm actually surprised sometimes at how many people do use them.

2. That's a very good thing. |

I could never go to a race without them.

in the 60's and 70's and didn't start wearing hearing protection until I started going to NASCAR races in the 90's.
Of course, my hearing in my right ear is about 20%.
