Anybody ever bruise your fingertips?
It's a long story, but I bruised 3 of my fingertips, so badly, last night, that one of them is actually dark purple. ouch.

Not asking for medical advice...just wondered how long this may take to heal...
in your personal experience(s).

This is a bit difficult, in a job that requires typing all day. :eyes:

p.s., Yes, I really did this to myself.

1. You might lose a nail...
Ow.

It'll take awhile... Probably a month or more. Hope you didn't break anything.

3. Lost one in a deli slicer working in the A&P in 1968
hurt like a bitch, had to go to the hospital for treatment. Because I didn't clean up the blood before I left, I got fired.

Then the Garden State Plaza renovated and that A&P closed down. Hope the prick deli manager lost his job. Probably dead now.

Wish I found the tip in the scraps.

7. They did
I was trying to stop the bleeding with some paper towels and napkins, and my Dad came to take me to hospital.

Things were VERY different back then.

5. Ouchie!
You never realize how often you touch things until you bruise them up. :(

I can still feel a tender spot on my left index finger. Years of cracking it with a hammer does that.

It usually took me about a week to get over the initial blow, but that was probably because I still worked while it was throbbing.

Sorry about your pain.
