the wedding is Friday, out-of-doors, 4:00pm, and it's like 105* right now.

1. I sympathize!
I ditched wool clerical robes in favor of cheapie light-weight high school / college graduation gowns because of the summer weddings I officiate in Florida.

You nervous?

Where's the honeymoon?

3. I'm not nervous Pacifist Patriot
I'll be walkin' my eldest daughter "down the aisle" for this one. It should actually be a great time, just wish the weather would cool a bit.

They're going to honeymoon in Disneyworld.

:hi: :D

15. Aw, that's wonderful!
Goodness, they're honeymooning in my backyard.

You know, when I'm officiating a wedding it's the fathers of the bride and groom that I usually have the most fun interacting with.

is a really, really nice guy...we get along fine. And it's kind of a cool day for both of us.

7. Wow. I've never worn wool gowns. Always the lightweight
synthetic blends. And now that I'm vegan, wool ain't an option. But preaching in wool? No thanks!!

Hope it's a great day for you, and don't forget to show us some pics!

:hi:

Oh, here's the "ask" part: single- or doublebreasted? Any details about the suit itself? Tie options?

Tux playa wants to know...

My eldest daughter is the one tying the knot.

Tux is black on black vest, double breasted, rose-red tie, white shirt...I feel like Tony Soprano in the thing.

17. How exciting!
Can I just tell you how blessed I feel to be able to officiate weddings? What an honor to be a part of one of the happiest days in a couple's life. There are certainly worse vocations in life.
