1. there are many levels of 'friendship'
there is hanging out friends, there's friends who would kill for you, then the real friends who will help you bury the body

2. My dear GoPsUx...
"Friend" to me means someone I'm close to...

Someone I can really unburden myself to...

Sometimes a better word is gift...

3. Well, one thing a friend does
is tell ya what ya need to hear when ya need to hear it. And it is different with a friend, cause ya know they're their for ya in the good and bad times.

:D

6. Someone who accepts me for who I am.
Someone who's really interested in, and concerned about me. Someone I can be myself around, and who loves me even when I'm being a lazy slob and hanging around in my PJ's all day. Someone who I can trust with my deepest secrets, and who also trusts me. Someone who isn't afraid to be silly and unguarded around me.

7. To say friend
To say friend,
is to say games,
school, street, and youth.
Sparrows trapped
by the same wind
following the scent of a woman.

To say friend,
is to say wine,
guitar, drink and song,
scuffles and fights.
and at The Three Pines
one girlfriend for both.

To say friend
brings back the neighborhood
first light on Sunday
and leaves on my lips
the taste of sacramental wine,
and cream with cinnamon.

To say friend
is to say classroom,
laboratory and deacon.
Billiards and movies
naps in the park
and German girls on the lam.

To say friend
is to say camping tent,
boots, vest and rifle.
And on Sundays
fighting over girls
between Salou y Cambrils.

To say friend
does not seem strange
when one has the thirst
for life at twenty
and few fights
and a soul without half soles.

To say friend
is to say far away
and before that, saying goodbye.
And yesterday and always
what's yours is mine,
and mine is yours.

To say friend
it seems,
that to say friend
is to say tenderness.
Only God and my song
know who I name so often.

Juan Manuel Serrat

15. "Friend" means a level of trust.
That's partially why you, GoPsUx are my friend.
