Sad Local Story
Snip:
"State police are on the scene of a deadly shooting in far southwest suburban unincorporated Channahon.
According to the mayor of Channahon, four people -- three children under the age of 10 and a woman -- were killed in the shooting, which appears to be ther result of a domestic dispute. Their bodies were discovered in a red SUV on a service road to a cell phone tower near I-55 and Bluff Road in Will County. The location is just north of th eDes Plaines River. "

From ABC 7 News Site, Chicago, IL.

That's two miles or so from where i work and 10 miles from where i live. I know at least a dozen folks who live in that town. (I'm guessing there's eight to ten thoudand folks there.)

Pretty close to home, huh?

1. We had something similar in WI on Sunday
It's just tragic. I cannot imagine what kind of person would shoot a child.

"DELAVAN, Wis. - Twin infant boys were among six people found shot to death in a rental house in southern Wisconsin, after a barrage of gunfire that neighbors thought was pre-Fourth of July firecrackers. A survivor, a 2-year-old girl, was shot in the chest and found in a van nearby.

Investigators refused to describe the circumstances of the shooting, but police said they don’t believe anyone else was in danger, suggesting that it was either a murder-suicide or the shooter was in custody. “What we have is a complicated death scene and we’re investigating all the possibilities,” said Kevin St. John, a spokesman with the state Justice Department, which is leading the investigation."

3. Wow. I know that area. I lived in Peotone for 3 years.
I never understand why people shoot children in these situations. So sad.
