If you're an IE user, it's much better than IE-6. Just make sure you apply the patches after installing it.
Or try Firefox.

3. I hear it's less likely to bust a hole in your Windows (TM) than IE6. |

11. What I would suggest doing actually is upgrading to IE7 AND downloading Firefox... |
|
Some websites, especially Microsoft affiliated websites, won't let you use Firefox to access the site. (The video links at the bottom of MSN Messenger, for example, require using Internet Explorer.) So it's good to have on hand as a backup just in case.
Personally, I have Firefox, Opera and IE7 installed, but that's because I do web design and try to make pages as cross-browser compatible as possible.
Just go to the link, click the Download Firefox button and download and run the installer, it'll walk you through the installation process. You can even import your bookmarks and stuff from IE.

|
Don't get me wrong,IE7 isn't half bad but it will run slow as hell unless you upgrade your ram.

I may be in a minority, but, I've been using it since it became available and haven't had any problems, I think you have to go to microsoft downloads of hust enter ie7 into search and it will take care if everything. Don't worry about ie6.
