1. What can you say after something like that? I'm laughing too hard. |
|
I used to watch that show a lot.

Chuck Barris said the duo were brought in soley to give the network censors something to focus on, with the assumption the risque act they truly on the show would seem tame in comparison - but somehow the girls slipped through the net.

4. I KNEW Jaye P. Morgan would appreciate it |
|
That was classic.
I once worked with a guy who was on the Gong Show. I think he played the kazoo. He got gonged.

5. Best thing on the Gong Show |
|
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ceETKSktojw&mode=related&search=It was more fun to watch Chuckie Baby than Gene Gene. :bounce: It was many years before I learned the song was an altered version of Count Basie's "Jumpin' at the Woodside."

Gene Gene the Dancing Machine was the only reason I watched that show. When he came on, the room would erupt in bedlam, and all of us kids threw couch cushions, pillows, toys and stuffed animals at the screen while he got down with his bad self. If there was no Gene, we were bumming.
