Book title? It's recent about "campaign consultants" |
|
Anyone know the title or author of this book? I caught it mentioned in passing on TV. I have no more details :D

1. No Excuses: Concessions of a Serial Campaigner by Bob Shrum? |
|
I'd imagine there's some good stories in it but I'd take anything Shrum says with a grain of salt.

I just remember seeing him speak about it and was wondering what campaigns he worked on. I'll look into it. Thanks again.

3. The better question is what campaigns hasn't he worked on? |
|
He's worked on 9 losing presidential campaigns, starting with either McGovern, or maybe McCarthy. Unless you count Al Gore in 2000, he hasn't worked on a single winning campaign and he didn't even do strategy for Gore, just debate prep. Again, I'm sure he's got some great stories to tell but the book should be called Confessions of a Serial Loser.

I like the 'consultants' who run local .. maybe state elections. I got hooked on it for a while until.. well, I think 'chads' were involved :P
