Son Says "Dog The Bounty Hunter is a Crack-Smoking Tyrant"
Dog "The Bounty Hunter" Chapman's son has spilled the beans on his father to The National Enquirer and it isn't pretty. Dog's oldest son Christopher, 34, says "The Dog that people see on TV is nothing like he is in real life. He's a monster - a violent, racist tyrant who smokes crack."

Chris goes on to say that his father introduced him to smoking crack and eventually crystal meth. He says "It turns my stomach to see him lecture people on not using drugs when he's the biggest drug user I ever saw. When he woke up after a crack binge he'd get violent with Beth and me and the other kids. The violence in that house was incredible - like a hillbilly trailer park." Chris also claims his father is a bigot who hates blacks and gays.

8. well, gol-lee
here is the over-under on his romantic life

Family
Chapman has been married five times, and is the biological father of eleven children, two of whom are deceased. His oldest son, Christopher Chapman, was born in 1969. Duane Chapman was not married to the mother and Christopher was put up for adoption.<17>

Chapman married La Fonda Sue Honeycutt April 1, 1972 in Texas;<17> they divorced in 1977 while he was in prison.

They had two children, Duane Lee Chapman and Leland Chapman. Duane Lee II was born January 21, 1973 and was a financial and retirement counselor before going back to his first job, bounty hunting. He lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado, until moving to Oʻahu to work with his father and brother. His wife and four children -- Jodi, Jasmine, Jennifer and Dylan -- still live in Colorado, but will be following Duane Lee to Hawaii soon.<17> Leland was born December 14, 1976 in Groom, Texas. He also works with his father and trains in mixed martial arts. He has two sons,<17> Dakota, born March 24, 1995, and Cobie, born December 7, 2000. He is divorced from their mother.

Chapman married Anne M. Tegnell August 22, 1979 in Colorado.<17> This marriage also ended in divorce. They had three children, one, Zebediah Duane Chapman, died as an infant on January 31, 1980 at home. Zebediah Duane was born prematurely on January 1, 1980 in University, Colorado.<17> His next son, Wesley Chapman was born November 14,1980, he has one daughter born in 2005.Their 3rd son James was born March 2, 1982. Both were raised by their maternal grandmother.

Chapman married Lyssa Rae Brittain June 22, 1982. They were divorced November 20, 1991.<17> They had three children, one being Barbara-Katie "B.K." Chapman, born June 8, 1982 in Denver, Colorado. The day before Duane's wedding to Beth Smith, she died at age 23 in Fairbanks, Alaska on May 19, 2006, during a high speed car accident involving drugs. She had been in and out of drug rehab and reportedly used money her father gave her to buy cocaine on a regular basis.<18><19> Barbara was survived by her son, Travis Drake-Lee Chapman, born 2002. Travis lives with Dog and his wife Beth. Tucker Dee Chapman, born September 8, 1984, was serving a 20-year prison term on a kidnaping charge in 2002 and was released spring 2006; he now lives in Hawaii. "Baby" Lyssa Chapman, born June 10, 1987, currently works as a bounty hunter with her dad, step-mom and half-brothers. She has one daughter, Abbie Mae Chapman, born 2002.

Chapman married Tawny Marie.<17> This marriage also ended in divorce.<17> Chapman has three other children, James, Nicholas and Leilani.

Chapman married his fifth wife Beth Smith<20><21><22><23><17><18> on May 20, 2006 at the Hilton Waikoloa Village in Hawaii. They have two children together, Bonnie Jo Chapman and Garry Chapman. 9. now I am really confused
according to wikipedia the oldest son that is saying all this was put up for adoption. He was also born in '69 which makes him 37 or 38, not 34. There is no reason for him to ever have lived with Beth, I think Beth is his fifth wife. It is hard to follow the article because damn, the man got married alot and had a lot of kids but wow.

3. Any other sources besides "The National Enquirer"?
I mean, I don't really consider that reliable. But, hey, that's just me.

7. Coming from Mrs. D. Wow, why am I so not surprised at all. No self
respecting bonds man would ever do what this guy has done.

Nothing ever rang true, any time I ever had to watch the disaster in progress.

But hey, everyone, Paris isn't hot anymore, let's move on, shall we. We've got some other "celebrity", to consume ourselves with, right?

Bless "Dog's" very large heart. I'm sure after a couple of weeks in a special rehab place they will have a whole new season to provide.

10. Why is this not even slightly surprising?
Far be it from me judge by appearances, but they really, really, REALLY look and act like meth users.

The racism isn't surprising, either - their whole fashion sense screams white supremacist IMO.

Who the hell dresses like this?

12. A bleached blonde mullet with some trinkets hanging off it...
...is "honoring Native American heritage"?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duane_Chapman

"In one episode, (Episode "Year of the Dog") he claims to be of Native American ancestry, from his mother's side."

A lot of people make that claim, with little or no evidence. Who knows, who cares?

You would think a person in touch with the trials and tribulations of Native Americans wouldn't be a raving racist.

As for taking criminals off the street - he's a bounty hunter - he's not doing it out of civic duty.

Maybe the son is a liar. Maybe we should believe "Dog". After all, he's a bounty hunter with a reality show - he must be on the level.

13. Maybe in his way it is.
He doesn't seem like the brightest bulb in the box. If that's how he feels his heritage is best represented by him, whatever that heritage may be, it's no one's business. In his view, he's honoring his heritage. People have looked weirder in the name of heritage than Dog.

Everyone has a right to make a living. He makes his money as a bounty hunter. That doesn't mean that he's not doing a civic duty by taking a lot of convicted criminals off the street.

I don't agree with everything about Dog. I don't know anything about him being racist, but if he is I don't like it one bit.

But there are some things really worth not liking him over like his picture of GW in his office. Now that's something to criticize him for!

14. Didn't know about his pic.
I don't think he looks "weird" per se. He just looks like a lot of pretty racist country guys I've known - he's just a bit more flamboyant because he has a few bucks.

Bush-lover, huh? :puke:

weird eccentric.

I think a lot of it comes from his biker days as the Sgt-at-Arms. I heard him talk about it on the Montel Williams show of all places.

Yeah, Bush lover. Although, not so much lately because of the extradition case. I was flipping channels and caught him bad-mouthing Gonzo and the administration. It's all self-serving reasons to bad mouth them, but I'll take it if it turns a few more from red to blue.

Edited to add....I know waaaaay too much about Dog. *hangs head*
