First I want to preface this. This is NOT a backasswards anti-Clinton post or poll. I love Clinton and I voted for him both times.

Still, NO ONE is perfect and I've always thought this was one of the silliest things said in a campaign. I love pot too, just btw.

So, did he or didn't he...INHALE?

The "I tried it, but I didn't inhale" stuff just sounded foolish. He's a man of a certain generation who tried pot (well, probably more than "tried" it, but for the sake of argument...), and it just wasn't uncommon for young people of his generation. No one should have turned it into a big deal (especially those who have no problem with Chimpy McShitfaced and his history of being coked up).

Even if he was passed a joint and had a hard time inhaling because he had never smoked anything, I think it is sort of a weird answer.

And don't give me any noise about "contact highs," either. I've never smoked pot, but I've been around it a lot, and have never gotten the least bit high. Maybe if someone tries hard to inhale every whisp in the air they'd get high. But it's quite possible not to.

I also had a friend who didn't want to smoke pot, but didn't want to feel left out. He would pretend to take a toke, but not inhale.

He does not strike me as one of THOSE guys. No he wasn't the guy who watched on the sidelines as others enjoyed their lives. He strikes me as one who grasped life by the balls when younger. I'll bet he was the life of many a party, and would have actually been one of the guys who had easy access to the best weed around if he wanted it. I'll wager he inhaled, often! I suspect the reason he says he tried it without inhaling is because he knew that there was a good chance someone from his past would come forward and cry bullshit if he said he NEVER tried pot.
