Poll question: Poll for those who have seen "The Devil's Rejects": |
|
Did you root for Wydell or the Firefly Family? I will admit that I was rooting for Wydell for 2 reasons: 1. He was the lesser of the two evils by far, even though the Fireflies are incredibly funny and entertaining. 2. He had former WCW World Champ Diamond Dallas Page on his side! You can't go wrong with the master of the Diamondcutter..BANG!!

1. The Firefly family, because sometimes you just want to root for the bad guys, haha. |

There were psychopaths on both sides. It made for one hell of an entertaining movie, though.

really freaked me out (esp. Rainn Wilson of "The Office" as "Fishboy" lol). That level of sadism is very disturbing to me. Also, I was having a panic attack that started just before I put the movie on, which didn't help. But then I watched Devil's Rejects and LOVED it. Then I had to watch Corpses again in a new light and now I love that one as well. Sid Haig is repunant, yet facinating to watch much like a train wreck is fascinating. And Bill Mosely is pure evil genius at work. I love his scene in Corpses where he is preaching to the bound and gagged cheerleaders (admit it, didn't you know some cheerleaders in HS that you would have loved to see tortured?).
As for Wydell (LOVE William Forsyth), I guess there is something to enjoying him act out his revenge fantasy. But in the end he turned out to be just as loopy as the Fireflys (btw, LOVED the Groucho names the Fireflys took). So, yeah, I was rooting for the Fireflys, if only to live to se another sequel. It's a shame Rob Zombie killed them all off. But I am looking forward to Zombie's "Halloween" flick coming up!!

4. Sid Haig is a good friend of my best friend's husband. |
|
I've had dinner with them twice when he's been the guest of honor. :) He's a regular guy, unlike his characters. :P
Wydell for me...:D

just to clarify. I love Sid Haig and Bill Mosely and enjoy watching their older films, too.
