Okay, the world is going to end because of peak oil and greed. (hypothetical) |
|
So convince everybody not to rack up debt and stop giving a shit about the future because it's all going to end, right?

The " world " if you refer to Earth, is not likely to end until long after human beings have become extinct.
As far as convincing anyone of anything I fear that the point of no return for avoiding human extinction was passed long before most human beings were capable of perceiving, let alone considering or accepting it.
To answer your orginal question/s, No, the world will probably not end until the Sun engulfs it as a red giant.
On peak oil & greed, I think you will find the inability to breath methane to be a more pressing problem than a lack of oil or an abundance of greed.

2. Unfortunately, it won't end that way |
|
The "world" will end (our part in it anyway) by us overpopulating and fighting each other for resources. So racking up debt just makes that more likely to happen.
But you know that already.
