HAMILTON -- As Father's Day came to a close Sunday police and family members continued their search for a missing 81-year-old Park Avenue man suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

Gordon HectorGordon Hector has been missing since Friday night when he set out walking to a local ball field.
"We'd love to see our Dad on Father's Day," Chuck Hector said Sunday. "At this point we're still 100 percent sure that everything is going to be OK, but in reality we're somewhat up to a dead end. We're just hoping someone sees him and calls the police."

1. Kicking for anyone in New Jersey
The part about him telling his wife he was in the woods and lost really upset me.

It was just on the news- so sad

2. Oh my goodness, that's only a mile or two away from me
Such a tragic disease...I hope they find him before it's too late, there are lots of busy roads around here and it was 90 degrees outside today and will be even hotter tomorrow. I hope for the best in this situation

On the news they said that people have reported seeing him- once near a local AMC. I hope someone sees him and calls the police SOON.
This has to be the nightmare of every family who deals with someone with Alzheimers. I am praying he is ok.

4. That AMC is right across the street from the train station
I just worry about him wandering around the train tracks especially at night

7. Thanks for giving this story visibility
I don't live on the East Coast, but that doesn't matter. A family is looking for their dad, and I hope he is found.

Hector's been missing since Friday night after going for a walk. When he wasn't home by 9:30, his wife Lois called him on his cell. "He said I'm lost, I'm in the woods and I don't know what to do," said Lois.

The missing Hector is described as a white male, 81-years-old, 6 feet 1 inch tall, 180 pounds, with white hair, a white mustache and an anchor tattoo on his upper left arm. He was last seen wearing a light-colored short-sleeve shirt, tan shorts and tan shoes.
Anyone with information concerning Hector's whereabouts is asked to contact Hamilton Police at (609) 581-4000.

9. Kicking Again- the 11pm news just reported that
he is still missing & now they are having the police dogs into his house to get his scent so that they can possibly track him.

It seems from the stories that he got alot further from home than they originally thought.

:scary:
