I would like to request two lounge forums.

14. I'd like to amend that

I've been thinking for several months that it'd be nice if DU had a sexuality forum. Not a "sex" forum — nothing like a "playpen" or anything, but a forum for legitimate, adult discussions of human sexuality.

It'd require some way of verifying age, and I think it should be out of public view. And it'd need to be moderated by mature people.

I also understand why the admins wouldn't go for it.

We need to stop suppressing discussions of sexuality. Like suppression of any free speech, normally it churns underground until it explodes in hyperbole. We need to become more mature about the topic.

If the rules were lifted, there'd be a rush of sex threads and then interest would die out. Posting titillating threads that push the rules is much more entertaining for most posters. There's been attempts to have separate forums for this purpose, but after a dozen or so naked pics are posted, they die out and disappear.
