I'm looking for a great read. Fiction. What have you read lately that knocked you out?

Best book I've read in ages. You absolutely won't tbe able to put it down until you're finished.

8. Have you read Kite Runner?
If not, and if the new one looks like it's going to be on hold for a while...Kite Runner is well worth the time.

5. "Veronica" by Mary Gaitskill
It won the National Book Award for fiction in 2005.

Some would consider it profoundly depressing, I'm sure, but I found it life affirming in its harboring of no illusions.

Damn good book.

And I'm halfway through Chuck Palahniuk's "Haunted" right now, which is pretty good too.
