I believe that with, uh…the advent of acid…
We discovered a new way to think, and…it has to do with…piecing together new thoughts in your mind. Why is it that people think it's so evil? What is it about it that scares people so deeply, even the guy that invented it, what is it? Because they're afraid that there's more to reality than they have confronted. That there are doors that they're afraid to go in, and they don't want us to go in there either, because if we go in we might learn something that they don't know. And that makes us a little out of their control.

Hallucinogen (Simon Posford), live at the Solstice Music Fest.

Actually, I'm too old to do drugs, and there's nobody here to dance with: this is great music to clean house to.

Nice. I can't believe I found a video for this. Fairly obscure.
Loungy, downtempo goodness. Too cheesy for words, too.

3. Micatone - Trip Tube
Interesting German group with a heavy jazz vibe.

If only there was a video for Tidy Girl, their best song. It rocks.

4. Ralph Myerz & the Jack Herren Band - Casino
Casino, live Trondheim 2004

Half their live show is loops, but they make up for it with a very lively rhythm section and some tasty guitar. Probably the only show I've ever seen where the drummer is the star. And the bongo player is a fucking maniac.

6. Laika & the Cosmonauts - Oahu Luau (live 1990)

They can rock like nobody's business, but this is a quieter, more acoustical set.
Finnish goodness. Forget Lordi.
