I'm giving up cat rescue for a while - unless I have a golden opportunity to trap someone. I just don't have what it takes right now. I'm even calling Alley Cat Allies to ask them to take my number off their "these people can help" list.

Right now I am so overstressed, and there really isn't that much to be stressed about. I'm under doctors' care; I have chemicals that help; I'm seeing a therapist. Even so: sometimes it's just all overwhelming.

I know i'll make it. I know there is hope. I know I'll come through this a stronger woman. But working at it, waiting for the process to run its course, is brutal.

3. hubby's daughter's kitty was held down and someone poured resin...

all over her back, she was very sickly as a result, but let hubby trim her fur down to the skin while being patient knowing he was trying to help her...people are capable of such cruelty,

Group here on DU? Take a look and you will see that you are in company with a lot of good people. These are difficult times we live in.

When I need a little encouragement, I go to YouTube.com and listen to Michael Bolton sing "Back on my feet again". I sing along with the volume up to deafening. I always feel better!

7. It is a process, and it will get better.

The one thing that someone told me that really helps when I get in a bad way is the following...

"Take one day at a time. If you can't do that, then one hour at a time. If you can't do that, then one minute at a time".

Take no heed to the "pull yourself up by the bootstraps", or "what do you have to be depressed about?" crowd...it just doesn't work that way.

It WILL get better....I promise.

on here lately. It's not surprising with the way the country is going down the toilet. I think it is overflowing into our personal lives.

the blues do go away, though sometimes (I know) it seems they never will.

And honestly, you're already on the mend if you have decided to put off cat rescue for a while -- you realize you need to focus on getting better (or at least removing/reducing stressors) and that's really quite huge.

You're a wonderful person, we cherish you here. So just stop in and say hi whenever you feel like it. You'll be in my thoughts.
