Help me please. The party is on Sunday and I have found two recipes, one for slopping joes with gumbo soup and one for meatballs and grape jelly. Anything I should know about making this? They are the easiest that I could find. I thought I would get potato salad from the store and a cake. What else? I'm absoluteley terrified. If I start baking cookies today, can I freeze them and they will be okay on Sunday?
Well, it will be small cuz my family is small. I coudn't get my act together to send out graduation announcements so it has been e-mail and word of mouth.
I understand how those kids with attention deficit must feel. My mind is just jumbled together and I find myself sitting and staring trying to picture it, but it is all a blurr.
Thanks for listening.

1. I just had a graduation party 2 weeks ago...maybe I can help by |
|
telling you what not to do:)
We had about 40 people - expecting 50 - the Sangria was a hit!!! Way too much food though.
My only real suggestion is to have nothing to do on the day of the party - no cooking, no errands - put the extra effort in the day before so you'll be able to enjoy the time with your guests.
Good Luck!

2. Get a deli tray together either from the store or do it yourself |
|
turkey, cheese, roast beef, ham, etc., and appropriate condiments.
Potato Salad Pasta Salad?
A green salad.
I would skip the meatballs because it is summer.
Maybe a veggie tray and a fruit tray?

3. great easy recipe for summer parties |
|
we did this for my daughter's Girl Scout 'end of the year' party
just go to your local fruit stand, and buy some fresh fuit. Watermelon, pineapple, grapes, kiwis, strawberries, bananas, melons, and whatever is in season. Cut into large cubes, and arrange on skewers to make fruit ka-bobs. stack them all on a platter, and cover with plastic wrap in the fridge until you're ready to go.
great as an appetizer, or dessert. and everyone loves fresh fruit!

4. Thank you for the advice |

I think I'm going to go with the deli trays and fruit trays. I little more spendy but my nerves are shot and they sound like great ideas. I told my son we are having baloney sandwiches, box wine and toast.

pasta salad is always a hit, especially if it's been refrigerated.
