Hat's off to Admin for getting the new servers up and running! I've been on this board a long time and have posted during big events like tonight... But this is by far the best performance I've ever seen by the machines that run DU! WOW! Hey Skinner...Ya think we can get tonights hit count tomorrow?

The Admins are totally stoked at how well this night went off for DU. After 3 years of running this message board and being caught off-guard on several occasions that generated lots of traffic to the site, we feel tonight went VERY smoothly.

We were able to complete the upgrade which has held up very well for the level of traffic we're experiencing, which is *very* high, and we've been relatively disruptor-free tonight.

It's important to note that we wouldn't have been able to make this upgrade in time for primary season without the generous donations of everyone who has given to DU over the past few months and during the last fund drive. I also want to publicly thank Lithos for the volunteer help he's given me the past week in dealing with several frustrating issues that came up - I wouldn't have been able to complete the upgrade without his help. :)
