I never thought sex could be so tedious
My wife and I are trying for number two and have been for the past 4 months. Every time, now, I feel like I'm "clocking in"...

She even made me change my official travel orders to coincide with her most optimum period of fertility.

I, for one, can't wait for number two. I'll get a vasectomy, and then we can get back to some serious lovin'.

(Sorry mods...if we can have l-e-n-g-t-h-y threads on circumcisions...)

2. Quit yer BITCHIN'.
I LOVE my SO, but she has major cooled off with surgery and "change" shit. I can't help it if I have a sex drive of a 20 year old and capacity that makes me laugh at Viagra commercials. Plus the fact that I LOVE the woman.

Sigh. Maybe I'll take up knitting.

18. what?
You mean you're not going to bitch her out? Demand your "rights"? Talk about "what about MY needs"?
Force her (through emotional blackmail, begging, crying, or worse) to "do it" anyway because YOU 'need it'?

And then get really friggin' mad because she didn't ENJOY it?

3. I was married for 2 years and couldn't get pregnant,
Which is probably a good thing, now that I remember what an abusive #$^&@# my ex husband was. Anyway, the sex there was ho-hum and routine.

The next guy was the most amazingly intense sex of my life...and I got pregnant in 2 months flat. I am convinced that quality means more than quantity. Good luck either way!

(potentially IBTL) :hi:

4. Good luck
Been there with #1 son. Went in for some testing and everything showed normal. Finally relaxed and just let things happen.

5. Good Luck
Having a child can be difficult sometimes. It does become work and often not very fun. If you really want to have a child, its worth the effort. Just remember to get back together for "fun" when its over. I also agree with the sniping after you've had the last child you want.

6. We had the opposite situation
Bang! First month and she's pregnant. Back then I was joking with her "Hey, where's all my sex!?!, This is supposed to take awhile!". Good Luck!

11. My freak flag is safely locked away for the time being.
Right now, we both have an "assembly line" mentality about this...Part A goes to Part B, add friction, sleep.

I miss my freak flag.

13. Why don't you try to bring it back?
Might make it fun. Correct me if I'm wrong, but sex is supposed to be motherfuckin' fun, ain't it, as well as functional? :)

supposed to be. :scared:

and not have it locked in five seconds flat. Kudos to you!

:D

Oh btw, I was conceived the first time my parents tried--they had the opposite problem, and they were middle-30s and supposed to be able to wait several months as it "might take a while." Whoops. My mom's doctor asked her how she avoided being pregnant for so long. After I was born my dad was "neutered," to prevent any more of me from coming along.

19. try, and there is no way. try not to, they sneak in any little
crack in the facade. the only one of 5 that we really worked at took 6 months, then a miscarriage, then 2 more months. besides that one, i just had to think that i maybe wouldn't mind, and bingo.
4 months is not bad. you'll get there.
