That's a funny post, because I've long said that about the Stones, that I wouldn't cross the street to see 'em.
I've never heard anyone else say it though. I'm still young enough to rock-n-roll, just not a Stones fan.
:hi:
edit: you said lazy. Well, yeah I'm pretty lazy, but I still enjoy getting up to dance my mess around. :D

9. I once heard Bob Sarlatte, a San Francisco comedian |
|
speculating on songs the Stones would do upon getting old.
His thoughts:
"Hey! Kids! Get off of my lawn!"
"I see a rec room and I want to paint it black."
"I know it's a Winnebago, but I like it."

4. Ed Suillivan said he wouldn't cross the street to see Elvis, |
|
but then he saw the ratings that Elvis got Milton Berle with his controversial appearance on that show and couldn't get him in to the CBS studios quickly enough. :D
Same old story.

he didn't change his opinion - he had Elvis come to him, so he actually didn't cross the street...

You're right. :P
Though Ed Sullivan was in the hospital for the first show, as a result of an accident, and Elvis shot it remotely, in Los Angeles, with Charles Laughton presiding. See? That's what happens when you don't cross the street to see Elvis: you get run over.

Yeah, baby.
Now I feel like I should be in solidarity with you but the sad truth is that I don't even have a single Elvis T-shirt in this city with me (actually, I think I only have a couple in total).
I do have Elvis sideburns on right now, though... :D

|
:D
Truthfully, if your soul has sideburns, that's all that matters.
