So I just saw part of SiCKO |
|
Is it too much if, when I see it in the theater, I shout "FUCKING REPUBLICANS" at opportune moments?
Just wondering if that's too "over-the-top".

1. Guess it depends on where you watch it. I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 in |
|
a theater in the University District in Seattle, and the entire crowd was VERY focal during the whole move, and then we all stood and gave the film a standing ovation. It was the best experience in a theater I'd ever had!
I've seen the movie in a pre-release screening, and it is awesome. I'm going to go see it in the theater too, when it opens here, because I have a feeling that "FUCKING REPUBLICANS" might be among the things shouted in the theater!

And I worked in a movie theater for 3 years.. I would have kicked you out for yelling. I used to kick people out for using laser pointers on the screen.

5. Well, most of the time I feel the same way, but F 9/11 was a very |
|
unique experience. The sound quality was very good in the theater, so no dialogue was missed, and the experience was great because I felt that I was sitting in a room full of friends, even though I only knew the 6 people I attended with.

8. I can understand saying things like, "Right on." (softly) |
|
But yelling "FUCKING REPUBLICANS" is bullshit. Lets be honest.. If someone who hangs out here was watching some movie and someone was chanting, "FUCKING LIBERALS" they would bitch about it and bitch about the staff not kicking the people out.
I have seen Sicko.. And the OP will only get three or four "FUCK REPUBLICANS" minutes out of it. It mostly covers health care in other countries.

7. You might want to wait for the DVD and shout at home. |
|
I don't care what movie it is, I don't like loud people in the theater.
