My sister told me that I'm so far left that I almost meet the right at the other side

My mind is still spinning. I don't think I'm at all radical. And what does that even mean that I meet the right at the other side?

1. In what context did she say this?
Were you talking about a specific issue?

I think we were talking about religion
I'm agnostic/atheist sitting on the fence and she calls herself liberal but is an active Catholic.

That's odd.
Just your lack of religion pushes you that far left? I think she might just be suffering from Catholic guilt!

btw - there are actually many liberal Catholics - even some clergy members are rumoured to be pro-choice!

2. She thinks radicals are radicals, no matter which side.
I hate to say it sometimes, but she's often correct in that.

5. I agree with the idea.
I'm not sure that's what her sister was getting at (nor am I sure that it applies to the OP), but the principle is very, VERY valid. Zealots of all flavors are equally worthless.

4. As to what it means . . .
imagine that the line of left<------------------->right is circular instead of straight, now, as you travel to the left, you come out on the right.

She was being a wiseass :P
