She's apparently been abused in the home before where I got her. Apparently she's a bit skiddish of people at first. But here she is. I'm very excited. She's currently curled up asleep in my chair.

and very lucky to have you as a new owner. My Luna was abused by her previous owner and was rather aggressive at first, but she was voted friendliest dog in town 4 years running not long after I adopted her.:hi:

:D :hug: :loveya: She'll realize very soon that you love her and you won't hurt her, and she'll be your bestest friend for life. :) Animals know these things. I've had two dogs from the animal shelter that I am certain were abused before we got them, and they were incredibly grateful to have a loving home to live in once they realized they were safe with us. They were fiercely loyal to us right up to the end. :D :hug:

28. Well, technically I didn't rescue her.

She was given to us by a friend from work whose mother has taken in three kids whose mother didn't really want them, and they were a little rough with Miss Prudence. They rescued her from an abusive situation. I can't take the credit.
