Just bought 15 pounds of jumbo white shrimp.

12-14 counts.
Hell of a deal.
They retail for around $9 a pound.
And I just finished heading them.

Buddy of mine is a shrimper.
He gets $3.25 a pound at the dock.
The seafood market sells them for $9 per pound.
I can sell all he can catch in our neighborhood.
He makes out; we make out.
It's a real win-win.

6. I remember as a kid buying lobster from the boat.

Up in Portland, Maine when we went to see my Grandparents every summer. We would go down to the docks and buy some lobster from the lobsterman. I don't recall the exact price but I am thinking a dollar (maybe five) each ( back in the 60's).

Do shrimp have "mud" you have to remove as well? It sounds labor intensive to clean them!
