What a wonderful movie - "La Vie en Rose" ....
If you enjoy biographical movies - this one will carry you away. The performance of Marion Cotillard is truly breathtaking as she portrays Edith Piaf. In fact, every character in the movie was spot on. I know I will be out purchasing the soundtrack and this movie will certainly be added to my DVD collection when it becomes available. Paris is breathtaking - I could just close my eyes and be transported right back to that wonderful city. Ahhhh - I'm so glad I saw this film.
Anyone else??

5. I really enjoyed it!
I thought the lead actress was wonderful and I thought I was watching the real Edith Piaf in the flesh!

I did have some issues with the direction, I didn't really like the jumping back and forth between periods of her life and the fact that many of her relationships and even her own character was never really very well developed (but then, I tend to be very critical when it comes to film and also I have read her biography and there was so much more to her than what was shown).

However, I did love the whole vibe, the period, the music and allowed myself to enjoy it just the same. I would recommend it for Piaf lovers or anyone who just likes period films.
