Here's a tribute to the Dixie Chicks from Mary Chapin-Carpenter. I love her even more now! |

I always thought that she would be really cool to hang out with. Now that I've heard this, I'm sure of it!

7. The Ring of Fire website usually podcasts their shows, and they are |
|
available several days after the original broadcast. Plus, they rebroadcast each Saturday's show on Sunday evenings. I think it as 8:00 pm eastern time, but you can find out for sure on the AAR website.
I did get to hear the interview, and it was very good. Hope you get a chance to hear it.
I've been a long-time fan of hers, and was very impressed with what she had to say today.

5. Mary Chapin & the Dixie Chicks = 4 Goddesses |
|
I saw Mary Chapin-Carpenter live at Wolf Trap several years ago. She is a phenomenal entertainer! Her lyrics are so prolific - some hauntingly beautiful, others joyously wicked - all wonderful. I adore her! She is a trailblazer like the women she pays tribute too. God Bless them all! Thanks, Irk, for sharing this video. I didn't know she had a new cd out and I have them all. This is definitely one I'll add to my collection.

9. I agree, steelemagnolia! These four women have shown us how true patriots are supposed to act. |
|
I'm sure her new CD will be fantastic, just like the Dixie Chicks most recent one.

10. Here is my favorite Mary Chapin-Carpenter song |
|
Hey Irk, This is my favorite song of Mary Chapin's. Thought I'd share it with you. I wish You Tube had a video of her singing it but Mary Black does an excellent job. In my opinion, Mary Chapin-Carpenter is one of the best songwriters there is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNjrHmuaZT0Here's another one of my favorites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrJ1Lo8VwAg
