Yeah, they are.

Latin's also cool because you can fuck around with sentence order quite a bit. Puellam amat--He loves the girl. Amat puellam--He loves the girl. A real pain in the ass in reading actual Latin, but a golden aspect of the language for poets ("poetic license" is obscene in Latin). Most of the time straight sentences are modeled after the first sentence, with the verb at the end.

2. One of the only times I got a "D" in high school.

Hated Latin. I was confused on day one and it never got any better. The next semestar, I switched over to Spanish. :)
