Poll question: A local radio program is doing a poll on whether men should wear capris.

So should they?

Apparently capris are calf length pants. I don't think I've seen this yet.

3. I've seen men wearing them in Europe
It was all I could do not to laugh. Somethings are just not meant to be worn by men.

4. can you add a "real men don't give a fuck what other men think" option?
I'll wear what I want to. Shit, I have a kilt that I wear proudly, and if I want to wear some god-damn pedalpushers with flip flops, I will.

I think it's pretty stupid that we men get so assed-up about what is proper for men to wear or eat. I say, who gives a fuck.

12. pretty, pretty please post a picture of you wearing a kilt?
I'll be in heaven. Over and above the fact that kilts are awesome, when you see a man wear one you know he's not afraid of what people think and that is the sexiest thing.

Even worse than men in clogs (or Crocs). Not a good look IMHO.

10. I actually have a pair that I wore recently
Edited on Mon Jun-25-07 12:04 PM by Scooter24
when I was on vacation in Italy. Some designers like Christian Lacroix (when he designed for Pucci), Givenchy, and Alexander McQueen started to bring them back years ago and then we started seeing them in chain stores like Express and Gap for their summer collections.

For myself, they are great pants to wear to the beach or lake.

11. Really, if you think about it, capri pants are really not much different
in length than the long shorts that were popular in the mid 1980s for men. You remember the ones that almost covered the knees?

13. Of course they shouldn't. And neither should women. Capris should be illegal.

15. NOBODY should wear capris
:puke:

Those nasty things have haunted the fashion world for far too many seasons as it is. Time to burn 'em all.

18. They're OK for beach bums.
Some of us don't like wearing short shorts on the beach (my legs burn bad), and long pants aren't practical in the sand. Long shorts and sandals are the best compromise :)

20. I vote yes, because I am so tired of the same boring menswear.

I think they should make men's suits out of tropical print fabrics. Bermuda shorts should be acceptable summer office wear in the DC area. And, (dare I say it?) Trent Lott is absolutely right about seersucker.
