Do you give a rat's ass who dies in the last Harry Potter book??? |
|
Haven't read any of the books and the most I've seen was like 15 minutes of one of the movies - but only because I couldn't find fresh batteries for the TV remote control (ended up just manuelly turning it off)

35. Keith Olbermann gave his opinion as to what will happen in the last book. |

Unfortunately, I was washing dishes and paid no attention.

41. I thought Keith's theory |

was pretty good. He postulized that Harry's scar will end up being one of Voldemort's horacruxes, and Harry may end up trading his powers for the ability to render his enemy mortal, and thus destroy him.

But I'm thinking it would be kind of cool if they did something like in that dreadful movie King Ralph when the entire royal family was wiped out by an electrical short while they posed for an outdoor family photo after a rain.

The hoopla for these MARGINALLY interesting books (MY PERSONAL OPINION) is just another distraction to me. Too many important things to worry about. Maybe if the little twerp (MY PERSONAL OPINION) croaks, maybe the books will end.

25. Maybe they'll do a 'Soprano' Ending for Harry Potter |
|
All the kids and teachers are hanging out in the school cafeteria while milling around the cafeteria is everyone who ever wanted to do harm to these folks. Outside we see one of Harry's friends having trouble parallel parking her broomstick. Harry looks at the jukebox and decides to play "Don't stop believing" by Journey. Fade to Black

26. No, unless the author decides to go out in a blaze of dadaist glory. Because that would be cool. |
|
Just imagine - at the end, they're all standing around, and Hermoine pulls out a handgun and shoots that Hagrid guy. The Harry stares at a wall for 2 hours, then decides to poke out the eyes of a dragon and promply becomes Harry flambé.
That would be great.

32. What? Congratulations on a nonsensical post, turtlensue. I said "dadaist" |

So there was no "action", just people demonstrating the fundamental irrationality of human nature.
Sheesh.

So that would make my post just the right response to your "conjecture" I would think. :P I think you may be the only person to apply dadaism to Harry Potter...unique perspective indeed..seriously this is certainly a "discussion" I never expected to have.:D

I thought dada meant 'hobby horse' and urged a return to childlike innocence and spirit of playful fun. Irrational, perhaps, but not irrationally violent.

You may still hate it, but hey, give the books a chance.
Get the books from the library, so you don't have to subsidize it, if you don't like it.
But if you do like it, go out and buy it as penance.
