Two ads from a 1976 National Geographic

As I pack up to move I occasionally flip through some of my old magazines and these two ads jumped out at me.

On one page is a Chevy ad bragging about the fuel efficiency of their new sedan: 22 mpg highway, 17 mpg city.

A few pages over is a Honda ad. For $3419 you can get a Civic wagon that gets 37 highway, 26 city or for $3469 get the 5 speed hatchback that gets 47 mpg highway and 35 city.

We haven't come to far have we?
