Benoit, Family Found Dead

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. -- Chris Benoit and his family were found dead in their Fayette County home Monday.

Benoit is a World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler.

Officials said the Benoit family residence is currently being investigated by local authorities.

15. Same here - when my son came out of his room after the show and told

us I thought this was going to be some weired 'Days of our Lives' crap where everyone was dead but really was hidden on some lost island bit. So I jumped on WWE's site and then searched it and found the news piece I posted in the OP. Just awful.

That Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son, then hung himself. The bodies were found in different rooms of the house. It looks like the killings were done over the weekend.

I wasn't HUGE into wrestling, but I watched it with buddies now and then. I always was entertained by Benoit, It's going to be tough remembering him as a good entertainer vs. (if it is true) murdering his family. May they all rest in peace.

Doesn't surprise me.. although the lenghths they gone (Even removing him from match listings for D.V.Ds and such) is incredible.. but I don't blame them

but try as they might.. they won't be able to erase him period... from 2000-2007 he's been a huge part of the WWE . . .

I just don't expect to see many Benoit moments, matches, etc on D.V.D . . . and that Hard Knocks D.V.D. . . I think is about to become quite rare. . .

Nor a quick HOF entry like they did with Eddie . .

I just wonder what triggered him to do it. Was it the 'roids they found at his home? Was he having marital problems like the wrestling websites speculate? Did he have a mental illness?

I went from mourning the man in his family.. to be worried about what really happened.. to wishing that all the signs pointing in a particular direction weren't true.. to denial.. and now to that god awful acceptance stage where I realize a guy I've been enteratined by, who's thrilled me for a little over a decaded is a murderer. . .

It's just an awful wrenching feeling. . .

and I just know for fact we're going to learn more (And possilby worse) details before this is over.
