3. The Addams were smarter...
...but that's not necessarily better. I still give the edge to the Munsters. A tiny one.

5. Adams Family without a doubt
Of the two shows, The Adams Family were more twisted and bizarre. Ya know, like Gomez crashing trains together.

6. Addams family had better writers
Who can forget...

Mortica: Hush, mama! It's for charity! Widows and orphans. We need more of them.

Wednesday dressing for Halloween in her everyday clothes: I'm a homicidal maniac, they look just like everyone else.

Mortica: Don't torture yourself, Gomez. That's my job.

Girlscout: "Would you like to buy some girlscout cookies?"
Wednesday: "Are they made with real girlscouts?"

slightly more visually arresting

12. so did you learn French?
What I liked was that no matter what crazy activity Gomez was in the midst of, all it took was one little word of French from Morticia -- like "savoir faire", or "ensemble", and he dropped everything and rushed to passionately kiss her arm. "Tish! I just love it when you speak French!"

What woman wouldn't want that power?

11. The Addams Family definitely
The Munsters were such stock characters - the Addams were all just winsomly ghoulish and the humor was much smarter.

And what was with Marilyn? I never understood how she fit in.
