2. Of those you list, it's Dominica.
The scenery and the rain forest there are simply gorgeous. It used to be Montserrat for the natural beauty and the friendliness of the people, but the island as I knew it no longer exists since the volcano started erupting 20 years ago.

3. Haha!
:D

I wasn't going to vote or reply, as I haven't been to those on your poll, but then I saw the pic you enclosed.... Vieques is the only one I've visited (1994,) and I had a great time!

8. St. John
We saw five islands on our 7-day cruise, and St. John was the hands-down favorite. Just beautiful.

11. Lemme think...
Barbados, Dominica, Dominican Republic, and Antigua.

We skipped one of the "D's" (forget which one) since a Canadian showed us an article that there had been an outbreak of cholera or something, and KayTot was only 4 months old.

MrsKay's mom came within 5 minutes of being left behind on Barbados. Those cruise ships leave on time, they don't wait for you if you're late.

16. Yes we are good cooks...
I unfortunately live way up in upstate NY and have limited access to the ingredients needed to make authentic dominican food. The funny thing is my favorite dominican foods are considered "peasant" foods, and really hard to get in restaurants when I visit the island...

19. on my home pc I have some
but mostly I do it from sight. I learned from my grandmother - mom is a horrible cook:rofl:. She lives in the DR but mainly eats very light anyhow - too hot for her to eat rice and beans (or so she says).

20. Don't miss the St Thomas Dairy
Incredible ice cream and milkshakes. For an extra 50 cents you get a shot of rum or Kahlua in your milkshake.

31. Best thing to do is head out to the other islands
Sorry but I don't like St Thomas. Its geared to sucking as much money out of tourists wallets as possible. Do a day of shopping and then stay out of Charlotte Amalie.
Take the ferry to St Johns and get a bus/taxi to Trunk Bay and follow the underwater nature trail. If your more adventerous rent a jeep for the day and head to Waterlemon Cay and snorkle out to the island (moderately difficult) Look for turtles and squid in the tall grass. You can also visit the Annaberg sugar plantation ruins.
If you can swing it the park service offers a great all day hike/swim/boat ride if you can arrange it.

Another nice day trip it to go to the Baths on Virgin Gorda.

And eat lots of conch fritters washed down with Red Stripe.

I loved Barbados. You can even buy rum punches in a hamburger joint. And cheap, too.

26. Aruba for sure!
I have been to PR and the Bahamas too. Aruba is fantastic. Neat place with cactus and beautiful clear tropical water. Best snorkeling ever-and I didn't have to even take a boat--just walk out from the beach we were staying on. Really nice people too. And unlike other resorts, it has a nice European/Carribean flavor that some of the other touristy places just don't have.
