1. Too bad it won't air on TV at all...
And too bad no one knows what "1984" is. If anyone did, they'd be very pissed off like us in here.

4. Update

1984 needs an update. 2004, an evil odyssey.

The Big Brother on the screen is replaced by Dick Cheney.

5. Garden of Pure ideology

"We have created a garden of pure ideology."

Damn, this would make a great anti-Bush commercial with reference to the unPatriot act. Bush is preaching to his legions of white middle aged blue-blazers. Workers are slaving away to satisfy their whims. The democratic candidate runs in and hurls a ball of glowing light at Bush on the "Big Brother" screen.

The image is smashed, Bush dissolves into a caricature between Dick Cheney and Pat Robertson dressed in fascist regalia. The trance is lifted. The legions take off their blazers and throw off their oppressors.

2. Whatever I may think of advertising....
Whatever I may think of corporatism, advertising ("Our job is to *shame* you into buying our product) or commercials, I will say that this ad rocked my friggin' world when it came out!

There was even a debate amongst my high school graduating class (class of '84) to use that as the theme for the prom. O-kay, so it lost out to a crappy techno-popped theme that eventually won out, but man... what a prom THAT would've been!!!...

6. Oooh! "Borg" before the "Borg"!
...at least I think so...

That aside, I think everybody should reread "1984" and take a good look at where we're headed..
