Some help...I need a photo enlarged.
Edited on Tue Jan-20-04 11:05 PM by Osiris
Could someone tell me how to enlarge the following photo and keeping the clarity of it? I would like it to fit on an 8 1/2" X 11" piece of printer paper and hang it on my campus apartment window.

Thanks a lot!

On edit: I don't own a cool graphics program like PhotoShop. :(

4. Photo didn't appear
For starters, if you have the negative, scan it instead... but the print will suffice too...

Scan it with a higher resolution, the highest optical resolution. That'll help when it comes time to size the print for the paper (8x11)...

That's for starters...

6. Ah.
Couldn't you use a word processor, use the font (Arial would be a close match), and create the graphic using white text on a blue background?

Enlarging such a small image would reduce its quality greatly after a point.

7. Two tips
Edited on Tue Jan-20-04 11:18 PM by NewHampster
One - the best quality would be to recreate it in Word, not photoshop. edit: if I made that in PS or PSP Pro in 8.5x 11 it would be a nice little 5 or 10 MB file.

Two - this guy will email you the template.

.
you can either "copy" and paste into a Word Document

or

Insert "Picture from file"

then drag it around like a "window" - centre it, crop it and all -

right in Word

I make BINDERS of personal joke pics that way !!

on edit : spelling

AND

that works in Corel's WordPerfect as well - from 6.0 on up anyhoo
