Raise a glass for my friends!
My friends being State Rep. Jim Splaine and State Rep. Paul McEachern. These two gentlemen took on the NH political establishment and killed an attempt to gut the lobbying and public ethics law. It greatly annoyed the state party chairman (who is addicted to special interest cash), but it's a huge win for everyone else.

A toast! To Jim and Paul!

2. Well, there is a slightly selfish motive
The crappy bill that Jim and Paul defeated would have nuked some of the reforms that I managed to shove through the House last year. I'd hate to think that all of those hours spent in subcommittee meetings went to waste!
