Report from the land under water....
The Trinity River should be cresting right about now at 39 ft.

Flood stage, here, is 30 ft.

3/4 " more, and it will be the wettest June in History here.

This is not History yet?

:eyes:

Dallas/Ft. Worth arial shot, taken June 21st :

1. wow
I hope you aren't in danger of flooding. I personally am about sick of the rain, almost as much as I am of the heat. :hi:

It is supposed to storm for the rest of the week here. :(

2. I can't even stand to hear the word rain
The creek behind our house rose over the retaining wall yesterday. That was scary! At least, today, it didn't rain as much. But, now they say to expect flooding through Sunday. :scared:

3. I guess I should count my blessings then
I've just been looking after a dog who has a nervous breakdown every time it storms for about a week and I'm exhausted, every time it storms I'm housebound. The vet gave me tranquilizers but she won't give me more and if I had my way he'd be doped up every time I hear thunder.

Please be careful, floods are terrifying to me.

5. Floods are a little scary to me, too
Edited on Wed Jun-27-07 10:43 PM by KC2
The first year, after moving to Texas, I got caught in high water. I'd just never experienced flash flooding before. Luckily, I was able to drive through it. But, it was a terrifying experience...especially since it was dark, at night, and I was by myself!

I'm more careful now!
